In 1993 when Pastor Jim Franklin was asked to accept the position as Senior Pastor at Cornerstone Church, he and his wife Cyndi knew that it was God. They moved their family of five further away from their extended families in Oklahoma. That was the hardest thing to do, but they did so, knowing that God was directing their path.

Over the years, God has grown the church from a few hundred to nearly three thousand weekly, who call Cornerstone their home church. Pastor Franklin worked immediately to start a television program, called "Cornerstone LIVE", which airs each Sunday morning on Channel 53 at 7am. The Feeding Fresno ministry, which began in a closet, has been instrumental in reaching the poor and needy in our community. It has grown to helping more than 350,000 people a year. Pastor's vision is always to help needy people find hope. We were one of the first to help Orange Cove when the freeze halted production of the orange crops, and many people lost their jobs. Through our Feeding Fresno ministry, we were able to help nearly 5000 people.

Under Pastor Franklin's leadership, Project Student Aide, was developed. Through this ministry, we were able to give 8,000 underprivileged children backpacks and supplies. Project Student Aide also provided a Thanksgiving meal for over 50 families last year. Then, we were able to take children from the impoverished area of Fresno, who exemplified an excellence in their academic abilities, and reward them with a trip to Disneyland. Project Student Aide has been a special outreach, uniting the church and needy schools, in order to give them a hand up.
